Fiscal cash registers and POS: in-store sales without guessing where to print

The browser-based POS register sells and issues goods from the warehouse. Printers and fiscal cash registers are handled by a separate local service, Zaksio Bridge, according to explicit print rules. When no rule matches, the job waits for your decision.

Over-the-counter sales

  • Full-screen register

Code scanning, product search, basket, customer or NIP on the document, a discount requiring permission, and payment by cash, card, BLIK or a mix. You can put a basket on hold.

  • Cash shifts and returns

Opening and closing a shift with reconciliation (the shift is remembered on the device, not on the server) and goods returns. A POS sale is an order in the "POS" channel closed immediately, with stock reservation and issue.

  • Offline mode

A sales queue in the browser (IndexedDB) with idempotent resubmission once the connection is back.

  • Sales confirmation

The POS register prints the sales confirmation through a replaceable print adapter and opens the drawer according to the rules. Confirm your fiscal recording obligation with a tax adviser.

Points of sale, workstations and print rules

  • Points, workstations and devices

A point of sale (shop, stall, warehouse) has workstations and devices: a fiscal cash register, a label printer, a receipt printer or a drawer.

  • Explicit print rules

A rule links conditions (point, warehouse, channel, document, payment, workstation, user) to a target device and fallback devices. The coverage validator warns about combinations with no rule.

  • Print job queue

Idempotency, retries, an audit log and handling of an unknown print result. A missing rule or no usable device ends in a "needs decision" status and an alert, never in guessing.

  • X and Z reports

Requesting reports from the app (Z once per day), a results archive and cash shifts.

  • Receipt and invoice from a sales invoice

A receipt or invoice at the register is created from a sales invoice, and the gross line amounts are split so that the total per VAT rate matches to the grosz.

Local service at the register

The cloud never touches the devices. Bridge connects to Zaksio over an outbound connection, fetches jobs, runs them locally and sends back a confirmation.

  • Pairing and security

A one-time pairing code valid for 30 minutes, a device token stored in the database only as a hash, rotation with a transition period, and signed jobs.

  • Beta

    Local queue and offline mode

A persistent SQLite queue, recovery after a restart during printing, a heartbeat and an alert when a device is offline for too long.

  • Beta

    Posnet Thermal

Receipt, invoice, X and Z reports, cash in and cash out, drawer and device status.

  • Beta

    Novitus

Receipt with NIP, X and Z reports, cash in and cash out, drawer and device status.

  • Beta

    Elzab (ElzabSTX)

Receipt with NIP, invoice, X and Z reports, drawer and device status.

  • Beta

    ESC/POS and ZPL

Non-fiscal printouts, drawer and product labels on thermal printers.

  • Starting Bridge

Bridge runs as a service on the computer at the register (requires Node 22.13 or later) and connects to Zaksio over an outbound connection, without opening any ports.
