Courier accounts and keys: InPost, DHL, GLS, UPS

Cash register, POS and shipments. Content verified: 12 October 2026.

A courier account in Zaksio is your own access credentials to the courier's API, the sender address and a few settings. You enter the keys yourself: it is your contract with the courier, not ours. Without an active account with keys you cannot create a parcel.

How accounts work

  • You can have several accounts with one courier, for example separate ones for two contracts or for sandbox and production.
  • One account can be the company default, and accounts can be assigned to warehouses: when a rule points to a courier without a specific account, we use the warehouse's default account, or, if there is none, the company's default account.
  • The account mode is "Test (sandbox)" or "Production". The mode must match where the keys come from: test keys will not work in production and vice versa. Changing the mode invalidates the connection test result.
  • Credentials are encrypted and never sent back to the browser: you only see which fields are set. Saving keys replaces the whole set, so with every change re-enter all required fields.
  • Accounts that have parcels or rules cannot be deleted, only disabled (status "Disabled").

Adding an account step by step

  1. Go to "Shipments", "Courier accounts" tab, and click "Add account".
  2. Choose the courier, name the account and choose the mode. Start with "Test (sandbox)".
  3. Complete the "Sender address": it goes on labels and into the pickup protocol. For couriers with cash on delivery you can provide the "COD account (optional)", i.e. the IBAN to which the courier will transfer COD payments; if the courier takes the account from the contract, leave it empty.
  4. Select the "Warehouses" this account ships from, and optionally "Default account for this courier". Save the account.
  5. On the account card click "Keys", enter the details from the instructions below and choose "Save keys".
  6. Click "Check connection". We make a safe request to the courier and show the result without revealing the keys.

InPost (ShipX)

You need a business account in the InPost Parcel Manager with the company details completed. For testing, use a separate account in the InPost test environment (sandbox-manager.paczkomaty.pl); production runs at manager.paczkomaty.pl. Sandbox and production have separate accounts and separate tokens.

  1. In the account settings in the Parcel Manager, find the API section and generate a ShipX token.
  2. On the same tab you will find the numeric organisation identifier (Organization ID).
  3. In Zaksio enter "ShipX API token" and "Organization ID". The third field, your own webhook secret, is optional and is usually left empty.
  4. After saving the account, click "Webhook", copy the address and paste it into the InPost panel, in the API settings. InPost parcel statuses arrive via this webhook. "Generate new address" invalidates the old address.

DHL Parcel Polska (WebAPI2)

This is the "DHL" for Polish e-commerce: domestic parcels, cash on delivery, pickup points. It requires a domestic contract with DHL Parcel Polska and access to the DHL24 panel (dhl24.com.pl). Fields in Zaksio: "WebAPI v2 login", "WebAPI v2 password" and "SAP number (customer number)".

  • WebAPI credentials are generated in the DHL24 panel. This is a separate login and password pair, not your panel login.
  • The SAP number is the seven-digit customer number from your contract.
  • You get the test account (dhl24 sandbox) from DHL on request: you can obtain the test credentials and a test SAP number from your account manager.

DHL Express (MyDHL API)

DHL Express is an international service with a separate Express contract. You get access to MyDHL API from your DHL Express account manager, who provides the login and password (separate for test and production). Fields in Zaksio: "MyDHL API login", "MyDHL API password" and "DHL Express account number (shipper)", which is the nine-digit number from your contract. For details on getting access, see the courier's documentation or your account manager.

GLS Poland (ADE-Plus WebAPI)

  1. The ADE-Plus user must have WebAPI access enabled. API permissions are obtained by applying to GLS Poland, usually through your account manager.
  2. For testing, GLS provides the ADE test environment (ade-test): you get a test account on request. Then choose the "Test (sandbox)" mode.
  3. In Zaksio enter "ADE-Plus login (WebAPI)" and "ADE-Plus password". Optionally provide a separate login and password for the tracking API (Track&Trace); empty fields mean the ADE-Plus login and password are used.

UPS (OAuth)

  1. Log in to the UPS Developer Portal (developer.ups.com) with a UPS.com account linked to your UPS customer number.
  2. In the Apps tab, create an application and add the Shipping, Rating, Tracking, Locator and Pickup products to it.
  3. Copy the application's Client ID and Client Secret. In Zaksio these are the "UPS application Client ID" and "UPS application Client Secret" fields.
  4. Enter "UPS account number (ShipperNumber)": six alphanumeric characters. The account must be linked to the application.

Specifics of individual couriers

  • DHL Express: the service has no cash on delivery (COD), no parcel cancellation via API (cancel in the courier's panel), no label re-download and no list of pickup points. For parcels outside the EU we send only a simple description of the contents and the value, so complete the customs data with the courier.
  • GLS Poland: return labels and additional insurance are not available via API, and cash on delivery is supported only for a single-parcel shipment. You see GLS services without prices from the API.
  • UPS: cash on delivery is available only for the UPS Standard and Access Point Economy services. The PDF label is retrieved via the Label Recovery service, so it may appear with a short delay after the parcel is created.

Where to find it in the app

"Shipments" menu ("Warehouse" group), "Courier accounts" tab. Viewing requires the shipping:read permission; adding accounts, entering keys and testing the connection require the shipping:write permission. The screen is visible when the shipping feature (shipping module) is enabled in the business profile.
