Picking and packing: route picking, scans, parcels and shipment with WZ

Orders and warehouse. Content verified: 12 October 2026.

What it is for

A picking job guides the warehouse worker through three steps: picking the goods, packing and shipping. The screen is designed for tablets and phones, and the barcode scanner works like a keyboard. Finishing the shipment creates a WZ document and removes the goods from stock.

Where to find it in the app

  • Menu, group "Sales and logistics", item "Picking and packing".
  • The job is created on the order details with the "Utwórz zlecenie kompletacji" (Create picking job) button, once the order has a warehouse allocated and reservations.
  • People with the permission to read orders can see them, and those with the permission to write orders (warehouse worker, salesperson, administrator, owner) can work on a job. Without write access the screen is a "Podgląd zlecenia" (Job preview).

Step by step

  1. On the list, choose the "To pick", "To pack", "To ship" or "All" tab; you can narrow it to one warehouse. Tasks are ordered by order priority, then oldest first.
  2. Picking: items are arranged in a route through warehouse locations, and during picking goods are taken in FEFO order. Scan the EAN or SKU or type the code manually; each scan increases the quantity by 1. You can also use "Zbierz wszystko" (Pick all) or change the quantity with the buttons. When something is missing, mark "Brak towaru" (Out of stock). Click "Zakończ kompletację" (Finish picking).
  3. Packing: scan each item again to confirm that the parcel is correct. A discrepancy blocks the "Packed" button. If you are not scanning, tick "Packing without scanning". In the "Parcels" section you can enter the weight (kg) and dimensions (cm); they are optional.
  4. Shipment: in "Dane wysyłki" (Shipment details) select "Przewoźnik" (Carrier) (InPost, DHL, GLS, UPS, Poczta Polska, Personal collection or "Inny" (Other)), enter "Numer przesyłki" (Parcel number) and "Data wysyłki" (Shipment date), then "Zakończ i wyślij" (Finish and ship).
  5. After shipping you will see a summary with the "Dokument WZ" (goods issue document) number and the "Następne zlecenie" (Next job) and "Wróć do listy zleceń" (Back to job list) buttons.

What happens at shipment

The WZ (goods issue) is created from the exact locations the goods were picked from, together with valuation and the cost of sales. Reservations change to issued. One job produces one WZ. You enter the carrier and parcel number manually on this screen; courier labels are handled by a separate couriers module.

Partial shipment and shortages

  • Goods missing while picking: the app asks "Finish picking with shortages?". The reservation for the part not picked is released, and the order goes to "To do" with the reason "Shortage detected during picking".
  • If nothing was picked, the task is cancelled and the order returns to the "Allocated" status.
  • After part of the order is shipped, it has the status "Partially shipped". You can pick the rest with a new task or close it with the "Close remainder" button (the unshipped part is cancelled and the reservations released).
  • "Cancel task" discards the picking progress. Reservations stay with the order, so you can create a new task.
  • Picking progress is stored in the browser, so if you switch devices you start picking from scratch.
