Licence and payments: trial period, plan, grace period and read-only mode

Account and licence. Content verified: 18 October 2026.

Where to find it

Settings, "Licence and payments". All roles can see it, but only the Owner can buy and manage the plan. The page shows the current plan, the licence status and expiry date, usage (users, companies, documents this month and AI credits) and the available plans.

Licence states

  • "Full access": at the start, no card required (3 months for a business, 6 for an accounting firm). When it ends, the account moves to the free Start plan (accounting firm: the free Accounting firm plan for up to 5 client companies), with no lockout: your data and documents stay, and the limits only apply to adding new items beyond the plan. A banner flags the last 7 days.
  • "Active": the plan is paid.
  • "Overdue payment": a 14-day grace period from the first failed payment, with a banner and the number of days remaining. After the grace period, read-only.
  • "Cancelled": the licence works until the end of the paid period, then read-only.

Purchasing a plan

  1. Choose "Monthly" or "Annually (2 months free)". The annual price is the monthly price multiplied by 10.
  2. For the Start, Business or Pro plan, click "Choose plan". You will go to card payment in Stripe Checkout.
  3. When you return, you will see "Thank you for your payment". A webhook performs the activation within a few seconds, and the page refreshes on its own.

The Accounting firm and Enterprise plans are billed individually: contact us. The "Manage subscription and invoices" button opens the Stripe customer portal and is active after the first purchase. Prices are net prices.

Read-only mode

In this mode, the "Account is in read-only mode" banner appears throughout the app. You can view data and download files, but you cannot change them: you cannot issue an invoice, approve an AI action, import a statement or invite a user. Sign-in, session refresh, password reset and the whole payments area keep working, so the Owner can buy or renew a plan.

In addition, the plan has limits: a monthly limit of sales invoices issued and a monthly AI credits budget. Once they are used up, the relevant operations are blocked with a message until you change plan or the new month starts.
