Zalando: zDirect access, Client ID and synchronisation by EAN

What it is for

The Zalando connector links Zaksio to the Zalando Merchant Platform (zDirect). It retrieves orders fulfilled by you, sends stock levels and prices addressed by EAN, and saves the parcel number in the order.

Connector scope: does not fetch the list of listings. It skips orders fulfilled by Zalando (ZFS). It also will not work without a partner agreement.

Where to find it in the app

Sales and logistics, "Sales channels", "Add sales channel", type "Zalando", and in the channel the "Connection" tab. Connector fields: "Merchant ID", "Client ID", "Client secret", "Sales channel ID (sales channels)" and "Environment" (Production or Sandbox).

The form in the "Connection" tab is built from the connector description, so it contains exactly the fields the platform requires, along with short instructions and a link to its documentation. After "Save credentials", click "Test connection"; "Start" in the "Synchronisation" tab only works after a successful check.

Where to get the keys

1. Sign a partner agreement with Zalando and wait for your account and access to zDirect Portal to be activated.
2. In zDirect Portal, go to Applications and create an app (this is the OAuth client). If the account is managed by an external company, they must invite you to the portal.
3. Give the app the scopes: orders/read, orders/write (parcel number), products/stock/write and products/price/write.
4. Copy the Client ID and Client secret from the app's Credentials section, and the Merchant ID and Sales channel ID from the zDirect Portal.
5. Paste the details in the "Connection" tab. For testing, choose Sandbox: sandbox and production keys are not interchangeable.

Login documentation: developers.merchants.zalando.com. The sales channel is separate for each Zalando country, and you separate multiple channels with commas.

What it synchronises

• Orders: fulfilled by the seller (PartnerFulfilled), fetched every 2 minutes. The "initial" status is imported only after the order is approved. Zalando does not provide the VAT rate or payment details, so items are imported without a VAT rate (to be filled in per product), and we treat the payment as paid.
• Stock levels and prices: by EAN (13 digits) and Sales channel ID only. A listing must have a 13-digit EAN in its identifier or SKU, and an empty "Sales channel ID" is enough only for retrieving orders.
• Price: regular price only, in the channel's currency. Zalando applies minimum and maximum thresholds and a discount limit, so the price may be rejected.
• Parcel number: saved in the order's tracking_number field.

Important notes

• Orders older than one year are not available in the Zalando API.
