WooCommerce: REST API keys and shop synchronisation

Sales channels and marketplaces. Content verified: 12 October 2026.

What it is for

The WooCommerce connector links Zaksio to a WordPress shop through REST API v3. It fetches orders, sends stock levels (and optionally prices), lets you map products and passes on parcel numbers.

Where to find it in the app

Sales and logistics, "Sales channels", "Add sales channel", type "WooCommerce", and in the channel the "Connection" tab. Form fields: "Shop address", "Consumer key" and "Consumer secret".

Where to get the keys

  1. In the WordPress panel, go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API and click "Add key".
  2. Enter a description (e.g. Zaksio), choose a user with the administrator or shop manager role and set the permissions to "Read/Write".
  3. Click "Generate API key" and copy the Consumer key (starts with ck_) and the Consumer secret (starts with cs_) straight away. The secret is shown only once.
  4. In Zaksio, paste the shop address (it must include https://, without /wp-admin and without /wp-json) and both keys, click "Save credentials", then "Check connection".

Shop requirements

  • The shop runs on HTTPS. Addresses without https:// are rejected.
  • In WordPress, Settings, Permalinks, a structure other than "Plain" is selected. Otherwise the REST API does not respond.
  • The user to whom the key is assigned has sufficient permissions, and the key has "Read/Write" access.

Menu names in WordPress and WooCommerce may differ depending on the version and theme. Official authentication instructions: woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs, section "Authentication".

What it synchronises

  • Orders: fetched by polling every few minutes, starting from the most recently modified. Orders "awaiting payment" are skipped until they are paid.
  • Listings: simple products and variants. A variant has an identifier in the form "parent id:variant id".
  • Stock levels: sent in batches of 100 items.
  • Prices: only after enabling the channel setting "syncPrices". Zaksio assumes gross prices in the shop (the option of prices entered inclusive of tax) and changes the regular price, while the sale price stays unchanged. The price list currency must be the shop's currency.
  • Tracking number: WooCommerce has no native field for it, so the number goes into the customer note and the "_zaksio_tracking" field. Without a shipment tracking plugin it will not appear in a separate section.

Plugin-dependent settings

WooCommerce has no standard place for a pickup point (parcel locker) or the buyer's NIP. The names of fields saved by shop plugins can be specified in the channel settings ("pickupPointMetaKey" and "nipMetaKey"). Orders contain buyers' personal data; treat it in line with the data protection rules in force in your company.
