Buyer data in synchronisation errors: masking and retention

Sales channels and marketplaces. Content verified: 13 October 2026.

What it is for

Orders from platforms contain buyers' data: name, address, email and phone. When an order import fails, Zaksio keeps its data so that it can be retried. This data is protected: the errors view shows it in masked form, and its retention period is limited.

Where to find it in the app

Sales channels, the selected channel, the "Synchronisation" tab, the "Errors and jobs to retry" section, the table of failed order imports.

What is masked

  • Email address: the first letter of the name and of the domain and the ending are visible, e.g. j***@d***.pl.
  • Phone: only the last 3 digits are visible, e.g. ***800.
  • Address: city only, without the street, number and postcode.
  • First and last name or company name: only the first letters, e.g. J*** K***.

The same masking applies to error messages, the synchronisation log and error descriptions passed to the help assistant. Order lines (items, quantities) are not masked, because you need them to fix the error.

Who sees the full data

Full buyer data is visible only to a role with the "Read buyer data" permission: the company owner and administrator. Every time full data is opened, it is recorded in the audit log together with the order and the person who opened it. Other roles see masked data.

How long we keep data

  • We keep the data of a failed import for at most 30 days from the moment of the error. After that, a clean-up job deletes the entry together with the order data.
  • When the error is resolved (a retry succeeded or the order was imported manually), the raw data is deleted immediately, without waiting for 30 days.
  • An order that has been imported is a regular order in Zaksio and is subject to the order retention rules.

Limitations and notes

  • Masking applies to the error view, the log and explanations. Orders in the "Orders" module show buyer data to people with the orders permission.
  • A failed import older than 30 days disappears permanently: if you need the order, import it earlier or upload it again from the file.
