Licences and payments: Stripe, trial period and read-only mode

Licences are handled end to end: from the trial period, through card payment in Stripe, to overdue states.

What it covers

• Stripe Checkout for purchasing a plan and a client portal for managing the subscription and invoices.
• Signed webhooks with idempotency, so a repeated event does not change the state twice.
• States: trial period (30 days, no card), active, overdue payment (14-day grace period) and cancelled.
• After the grace period or the end of the trial period, the account works in read-only mode, with a banner across the whole app.
• Activation after a bank transfer is done by our support team on request.
