MT940 and CSV bank statements in Zaksio

Statement import from an MT940 or CSV file, duplicate detection and automatic matching of payments and expenses to invoices.

MT940 and CSV bank statements: what you get

  • MT940 and CSV

The format is detected from the file content (UTF-8 or Windows-1250), and for MT940 the account number and the match between the closing balance and the sum of transactions are checked.

  • Duplicates

The same file is not loaded twice, and overlapping statements add only new transactions.

  • Payment matching

Incoming payments go to sales invoices and expenses to purchase invoices: by the invoice number in the title, the amount to the cent, tax ID and contractor name.

  • Settlements and exchange differences

A partial payment settles the invoice partially, and a PLN payment for a foreign-currency invoice calculates the exchange difference.

How to connect it

You download the statement from your own bank and load it in the app, without sharing banking passwords.

  • In your online banking, download the statement in MT940 or CSV format.
  • In Zaksio add the account (Polish number or IBAN) and click "Import statement".
  • Review the match proposals and approve them in the decision inbox.

Scope and requirements

  • You do not share your bank password or give access to the account: Zaksio reads only the file you load yourself.
  • Low-confidence proposals are skipped, and ambiguous ones get a lowered confidence.
