The Basic plan costs PLN 0, has no time limit and needs no card. We state the limits up front so you know what to expect.
For PLN 0 you get
- Employee records with an encrypted and masked PESEL number
- Employment, mandate and specific-work contracts, with options for contributions, deductible costs, reliefs and PPK
- Monthly payroll runs on 2026 parameters, with warnings on line items
- Absences, plus sick pay and benefits calculated in the payroll run
- e-ZLA: sick leave entered manually or loaded from the raport.xml report downloaded from PUE
- ZUS files (DRA, RCA, RSA, ZUA, ZZA, ZWUA, ZSWA) for import into Płatnik, plus PIT-11, PIT-4R, PIT-8AR and IFT-1R
- PPK, overtime and leave balance with cash equivalent

How it works, step by step
How to prepare your first payroll run
1. Create an account and turn on the module
You enter your e-mail, no card is needed. In the company's business profile you tick the "Employees" feature, and "HR and payroll" appears in the menu.
2. Add employees and contracts
You enter the employee's details and the contract: employment, mandate or specific-work, with options for contributions, deductible costs and PPK.
3. Prepare the payroll run
After the month ends, Kasia, the AI assistant, proposes preparing the run. The payroll engine calculates the amounts, and approval has no automatic mode.
4. Download the ZUS and PIT files
The files are checked against the official XSD schemas. You download them, import them into Płatnik and mark them as filed. You load e-ZLA sick leave from a report downloaded from PUE.
5. Keep track of deadlines
The calendar of ZUS, PIT and PPK deadlines reminds you of upcoming duties.

What you will not find in the free plan
So there are no surprises: this is where the Basic plan ends.
- Sending documents to ZUS: Zaksio does not do this. You download the files and import them into Płatnik, and load the e-ZLA report from a file downloaded from PUE.
- Transfers: the payout and the payment of contributions are ledger entries, and you make the transfers in your own bank.
- Checking results: the payroll engine calculates on 2026 parameters and every rule has a source and verification date, but you or the person responsible for HR check the payroll run and files before filing.
- Larger scale: above the Basic plan limits (companies 1, users 3, documents 100 per month) you need a paid plan. Your data and documents stay.
- A larger AI budget: the Basic plan has 100 AI credits per month, larger pools are on paid plans.
- Extended support: on the Basic plan we help by e-mail, while chat and priority support are on paid plans.
- Bookkeeping done by a person: Zaksio is software with an AI team, not an accounting firm. If you like, you can invite your own accounting firm to the account.

Are HR and payroll in Zaksio really free?
Yes. The Basic plan costs PLN 0, has no time limit and needs no card. The HR and payroll module is not blocked by the plan: you turn it on in the company's business profile with the "Employees" feature and use it within the plan limits. Basic plan limits: companies 1, users 3, documents 100 per month, AI credits 100 per month. Larger limits are on paid plans.
How many employees can I add?
The Basic plan limits apply to companies, account users, documents per month (issued invoices and corrections) and AI credits. Employee records and payroll runs have no separate limit in the plan, and the accounts of users who work on HR count towards the user limit.
Which contracts does Zaksio support?
Employment, mandate and specific-work contracts, with options for contributions, deductible costs, reliefs and PPK. Absences, including sick leave, are taken into account in the payroll run.
Will Zaksio send documents to ZUS?
No. You download ZUS files (including DRA, RCA, RSA) ready for import into Płatnik, and load e-ZLA from a report downloaded from PUE. Zaksio prepares a file compliant with the official schema, and you download it, check it and file it yourself or through your accounting firm.
How does e-ZLA work in Zaksio?
In the "e-ZLA" tab you add sick leave manually or import the raport.xml report downloaded from PUE. Zaksio does not connect to ZUS, so you download the report yourself.
Does the payroll run approve itself?
No. A payroll run does not go further without approval by an authorised person, and approval has no automatic mode. Kasia, the AI assistant, only proposes preparing and approving it.
What parameters is payroll calculated on?
On the 2026 parameters. Every rule has a stated source and verification date, and amounts are calculated by deterministic code, not the language model.
What will happen when full access ends?
To start with, you get full access to all features: company 3 months, accounting firm 6 months, no card. After that the account stays on the Basic plan: we block nothing, your data and documents stay, and the limits only apply to adding new items beyond the plan.
