PIT-11: what is it?
Annual information on income from the payer
PIT-11 is the annual information on an employee's or contractor's income. The payer sends it to the tax office by the end of January and gives it to the taxpayer by the end of February.
Key answers
- What it is
- A document in which the employer or client (the payer) reports the income paid out in the year, costs, contributions and the tax advances withheld. The taxpayer uses it to settle PIT.
- Who it affects
- Payers: employers, clients and other entities paying remuneration. Everyone who was paid such benefits receives one.
- When
- To the tax office by the end of January, and to the taxpayer by the end of February of the year following the tax year. If the last day of the deadline falls on a day off, it ends on the next working day.
- Where
- To the tax office electronically through e-Deklaracje (mandatory when there are more than 5 forms or an accounting firm files them), and to the taxpayer on paper or electronically. The data also feeds the e-PIT service.
How it works in Zaksio
Zaksio generates PIT-11 for the settlement year for employment, mandate contracts, contracts for specific work and benefits.
