e-ZLA: what is it?
Electronic sick leave certificate
e-ZLA is the electronic medical certificate of inability to work. The doctor issues it in the ZUS system and the employer sees it on PUE.
Key answers
- What it is
- A sick note in electronic form, issued by a doctor in the ZUS system and sent to ZUS, the employer and the insured person.
- Who it affects
- Employers and contribution payers that have a PUE ZUS profile and on that basis pay sick pay or an allowance.
- When
- The certificate appears on the payer's profile after it is issued. The employee does not deliver a paper form, and the employer should check for new certificates regularly.
- Where
- On the payer's account in PUE ZUS (the e-ZLA tab). The data is entered into HR and payroll.
How it works in Zaksio
Zaksio lets you add a certificate manually or import an e-ZLA report downloaded from PUE, and takes it into account in payroll.
